If you're planning on a monster like this with millions of bricks then you definitely need to call in the engineers (not least to move the beast around — it weighs more than 20 tonnes!).

Not to be outdone, our resident structural engineer has put together a disquisition on the joys of LEGO cases for the Pi, including this one that he built himself —

— with nothing but a slide rule and a copy of Newton's Principia to help him.

The result is not just a thing of beauty, but a process of beauty :-)
